You agree not to use AI in providing work for iMerit. Here's why.

Plagiarism and use of AI is forbidden in your contract

When you sign your MSA and SOW, you expressly agree not to use AI in producing your work.

Consultant shall not, either directly or indirectly: (1) use AI Technologies to perform the Company’s work or distribute or otherwise make AI Technologies available to the Company’s customers or other agents for any purpose; or (2) permit any data associated with, or provided by or on behalf of, the Consultant’s current or former customers, or any third parties (including de-identified data), to be used as training data for the Company’s work.

For the purposes of this section, “AI Technologies” means any and all deep learning, machine learning, and other artificial intelligence technologies, including without limitation: (a) proprietary algorithms, software (e.g., ChatGPT), or systems that use or employ neural networks, statistical learning algorithms (such as linear and logistic regression, support vector machines, random forests, or k-means clustering), or reinforcement learning; and (b) proprietary embodied artificial intelligence and related hardware or equipment.

Why is plagiarism or LLM-generated work strictly prohibited?

When you contribute to our AI training projects, it’s crucial that your submissions are original and created entirely by you. Here’s why:

  1. Accuracy & Quality We depend on genuine, human-produced content to accurately train our AI. If you copy someone else’s work or use AI-generated text, the data becomes less reliable. This can introduce errors, biases, or “noise” into the training, ultimately harming the performance of the final AI model.

  2. Trust & Confidentiality Our partners entrust us with their sensitive information. They have strict rules against having their data entered into Large Language Models (LLMs), as this can breach confidentiality and raise security concerns. Submitting information into an LLM—even if it seems harmless—could inadvertently expose private details about the project or the data.

  3. Ethical & Professional Standards Plagiarism not only violates intellectual property rights, but it also undermines the ethical foundation of our collaboration. By providing original work, you help maintain a professional environment and uphold the integrity of the project.

How You Can Help

  • Always use your own words and ideas.

  • Cite any sources or references you rely on.

  • Never submit or upload sensitive partner data into any external tools or AI models.

By following these guidelines, you ensure the project’s success and help us deliver a truly accurate, secure, and trustworthy AI solution for everyone involved. Thank you for your cooperation!
