# Joining Scholars: FAQs

Onboarding at Scholars is now easier than ever, with our new 3-part workflow.

{% stepper %}
{% step %}

### Enter your personal information

In the first step, we collect your educational details, language skills and other basic info
{% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Verify your ID

After you complete step 1, check your inbox for a link to **Idenfy**, our ID verification partner.

* You **must** complete ID verification to join Scholars
* We recommend using your mobile device
* You need your **physical** **ID** for this step - passport is the most reliable option
 {% endstep %}

{% step %}

### Complete Agreements, Bank Details & Tax Information

You will sign a Master Services Agreement and Policies document.

Already signed in the past? Our new agreements are materially similar to your existing agreements, but we have consolidated them and made the contracts simpler. [More details](https://imerit-docs.gitbook.io/scholars/getting-started/agreements).

Please have your **bank information** to hand, so that we can make payments. It is essential this info is accurate to avoid delays.

For US-based consultants, we need your **social security number** and other details to ensure we report taxes correctly. For other countries, the information we need will differ.
{% endstep %}
{% endstepper %}

Once you complete these steps, we will issue you with your Scholars Google ID and temporary password. You're ready to work!
