# Profile Validity Policy

**We are committed to maintaining a trusted and professional Scholars community. To ensure fair opportunities and the integrity of our work, all candidates must complete identity verification and, when required, pass our online test proctoring process.**

### **1. Identity Verification**

Before participating in any projects, you must complete our identity verification process. This includes:

* **Government-issued Photo ID**: You will be asked to upload a valid government-issued ID (passport, national ID card, driver’s license, etc.). See the [Proof of ID](/scholars/getting-started/proof-of-id.md) page for more.
* **Webcam Photo/Footage**: We may capture webcam images or video during verification to confirm your identity.
* **Cross-checks with Public Profiles**: We review your LinkedIn profile and other professional information to confirm that it matches your Scholars profile and the ID you provided.

#### **LinkedIn Profile Verification**

Your LinkedIn profile is an important part of our identity verification process. We check that:

* The profile belongs to you and is not falsely attributed.
* The name, photo, and employment history match your Scholars profile and your provided ID.
* The profile photo matches the webcam footage from our Autoproctoring system.

{% hint style="warning" %}
**If we find that you have provided false or misleading LinkedIn information** — for example, a fake profile or one that belongs to someone else — **we will immediately remove you from the Scholars program**.
{% endhint %}

### **2. Test Proctoring (Autoproctor)**

Some roles require an online skills assessment. To ensure fairness:

* You must complete these tests under **proctored conditions** using our Autoproctoring software.
* The system may record your screen, webcam, and audio during the test.
* **Any attempt to cheat (e.g., using unauthorized resources, having another person take the test, or sharing test content) will result in immediate removal from the program.**

### **3. Multiple Verification Sources**

We use **multiple sources** to confirm your identity and compliance:

* Government-issued ID
* Webcam photo/video from Autoproctor
* LinkedIn and other public professional profiles
* Project records and prior performance history

This helps us protect the integrity of our projects, our clients, and our Scholars community.

### **4. Consequences of Non-Compliance**

If at any stage we find evidence of:

* False identity information
* Fake or misattributed LinkedIn profiles
* Attempted cheating on tests
* Mismatches between ID, webcam footage, and profile information

{% hint style="warning" %}
If we find evidence of non-compliance, we will remove you from the Scholars program immediately and you will no longer be eligible for future projects.
{% endhint %}

### **5. Why This Matters**

These policies protect all Scholars by:

* Ensuring fair competition for project roles
* Maintaining trust with clients
* Safeguarding the reputation of our community

By joining the Scholars program, you agree to comply with these identity verification and proctoring requirements.
