# Working Tools

### Tools & projects

To work on Scholars projects, all you need is an up-to-date computer and a good internet connection. During your onboarding process, we will check you have what you need. Occasionally, some projects require specific equipment — in which case we will ship you a laptop and any other necessary devices. Your Project Manager will always clearly communicate what is required, and will co-ordinate with you.

### iMerit tools

iMerit has a variety of advanced internal tools for annotation, labeling, text and image editing, and 3D work. The most commonly-used tool is **Ango**, our workflow and annotation tool. You will be given specific instructions on how to use Ango.

If you want to get a head start, or you are just curious, here are some intro resources to get you started:

* [Intro Video for Annotators](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K5Cq-WVq2unlPjGZSgobgK1aNTlwsjr3/view?t=1)
* [Ango Labeling Interface](https://docs.imerit.net/labeling/labeling-editor-interface)
* [Ango Tools Overview](https://docs.imerit.net/labeling/labeling-tools)

### Client-provided tools

For some projects, our clients provide tools that you will need to become familiar with and work with. Your project manager will give you clear guidance on how to install and use these tools, and time will be set aside for training and onboarding.
