Project Status
How to monitor the certainty of an upcoming project
We use four clear statuses to communicate the certainty level of our upcoming projects, so that you can understand how to plan your commitment with us.
Anticipated -> Provisional -> Confirmed / Not Selected
Status: Anticipated
What it means: A project is expected to happen but we are at the early stages of selection and do not have a confirmed start date, or other details are to be determined. What you should do: Please provide any information we request, and then wait for more information. We will reach out to you when we are ready to proceed to the next stage. Please do not treat this project as certain or take any action based on the advance assumption you will be selected.
Status: Provisional
What it means: You are in a shortlist for a project but we are not able to confirm your participation or issue a Statement of Work yet, due to outstanding items to resolve:
We may need more information from you
We may be waiting for a background check to clear with a third-party organization
We may be waiting for additional information from the client
What you should do:
At this stage, please treat the project as likely but not definite. Never take any action (such as quitting a job) during this stage based on an assumption of being selected.
Please provide any information that we have asked for as promptly as possible. Occasionally, if there is a delay in providing your information we may not be able to bring you into a project.
If you have provided everything, please wait for an update from our recruitment team.
Status: Confirmed
What this means: We have either issued you a Statement of Work, or we are about to. You have our promise that you are allocated to this project and it will start on the expected date. However, you must still bear in mind your Expectations as a Consultant as there may still be uncertainty about the volume of work required.
Status: Not Selected
What this means: Unfortunately, you have not been selected for a project as hoped. This could be for a number of reasons, including but not limited to:
Change in client requirements
Delay in submitting data or in the completion of a background check by a third party
Failure to meet the required assessment criteria
Failure to reach an agreed rate or other contract terms
We will explain to you the reason, and if applicable, we hope to consider you for future projects down the line.
